Hi fitness enthusiasts,

I hope that you are all doing well and being consistent with exercise, eating clean and choosing healthy alternatives as we move into warmer weather. Many of you will take a major vacation or many small trips or both. It’s nice to have a planned get away to help with motivation and goal setting, knowing you will be rocking those shorts and tank tops and maybe a super cute swimsuit or bikini. 🙂

My mom and I recently returned from an amazing trip to England. Knowing that our time away was for two weeks, I prepared for my workouts along with all the other packing that I had to do. I thoroughly enjoy exercising outdoors, whether it’s running, hiking or a fast walk. It’s a great way to see the sights and how other people live, not to mention getting out of the gym.

Whether we were in Guildford, Shrewsbury or London, waking up and exercising first thing really helped me recover from the eight-hour time difference and the expected jag lag. I would run outside for 30 minutes most every day that we were there. My wonderful aunt, uncle and dear friends hosted us and always prepared delicious, whole and healthy foods. Every morning waiting for us was a delicious array of fresh fruits, Greek yogurt and the ingredients that make up a scrumptious cereal called muesli. Be sure to check out this recipe by clicking here – a homemade muesli. I hope you enjoy it.

Starting the day off with exercise is a great way to get your body warmed up and metabolism cranked so that you are burning more calories during the day than if you hadn’t worked out. On vacation it feels so good to get it done early and then have your day freed up to do whatever you want and eating more liberally than you would otherwise. That is, of course my opinion, but I bet many of you would feel the same way if you tried this.

I hope that Spring-time brings fresh, healthy perspective and renewed happiness to each and every one of you.

Travel on fitness enthusiasts!

Love,

Jennifer
