Thankful
Hi fitness enthusiasts,
2017 has undoubtedly been a tough and challenging year of unfortunate events for many in our country and around the world. We have seen terrorist attacks, mass shootings, crippling hurricanes, and savage fires to name a few. My family was personally impacted by the firestorms in Sonoma County. My Mom and her husband narrowly escaped. Miraculously, her home made it through, while the neighbors’ homes on either side of Mom’s did not.
This leads me to continue reflecting on the many things that I am thankful for during this Thanksgiving season. I am most grateful for my family and my health. I take neither for granted and count my blessings every day. Just as I nurture my family relationships, I also nurture my mind body and soul.
I would like to share with you my approach to taking care of the mind, body, and soul that you were born with, that you live with, and that you will die with. The one great take away that seems to be the most effective way to maintain optimal health for most people, in my opinion, is a combination of consistency in exercise and healthy eating. Even if you exercise 20 minutes to a half hour a day, incorporating resistance training and cardiovascular training, will help your mind, body, and soul better manage stress, give you more energy and you’ll feel good.
Let’s get this done!
Love, Jennifer
